Guatemala: Fall 2022

Oct 7 2022 - Oct 15 2022
Antigua, GT

We will be assisting with different work projects at Casa Angelina orphanage near Antigua, Guatemala. From painting school classrooms to digging the foundation for a new building on the property to constructing a widow’s home, there are a variety of projects that anyone can be a part of. Giving your time and resources provides opportunities for these kids to transform their nation.

Ivan Tait and his family started What Matters Ministries and Missions in 2007. Their vision is to impact and change the global crisis of forgotten, abused, and discarded children and widows in developing countries by providing self-esteem and value through education, housing, food, and health care.

"Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." - James 1:27

Casa Angelina is a higher-education orphanage where they educate the children in three ways – scholastically, socially, and spiritually. On the campus of Casa Angelina, youʼll find homes where the children live in a family environment, a school, a church, and a medical clinic. The children are rescued from sex-trafficking, violent abuse, malnutrition and neglect. They walk through the gates of Casa Angelina into healing, health, hope, and abundance where they are: Turning Orphans Into Royalty.
